Admission
Admission to M.A. / M.Sc. Part I Classes after 4 years B.A. / B.S degree or three years B.A./B.Sc degree shall be made according to the schedule advertised in the leading news papers. No admission form shall be accepted after the due date and the lists of selected candidates will be displayed on merit after the written test and the interview. The selectees shall be required to pay admission dues by the dates notified otherwise their seats shall stand cancelled.
- Those female students who are not above 26 years of age on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Those who have obtained minimum II division marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject in which admission is being sought.
- Those who have passed B.A., B.Sc. three years , B.S. four years examination in the previous or current year.
- Age and year of passing may be relaxed in special cases.
- Special Requirements for some Subjects

B.Sc. (H.Eco), and B.Sc. students (other than Lahore College for Women University) are not eligible to apply for M.A. English
- Students with B.Sc. (Hons) Environmental Science can apply only for M.Sc. Environmental Science.
- Students seeking admission to M.Sc. Physics, Economics or Statistics must have studied Mathematics at degree level. Students with Math A Course and Math B Course only can apply for M.Sc. Mathematics.

Admission in M.A. Urdu, Punjabi, Pak. Studies and Islamiat will be open to all graduates irrespective of the subjects they have studied at graduation level. However, they will have to qualify for the test and interview for seeking admission in these subjects.
Compartment cases are not eligible to apply.
Admission to M.A./M.Sc., MS-CS/MBA Part I shall be made on merit determined on the basis of 82.5 marks counted as under:
One mark for each 100 in Matric 8.5
One mark for each 100 in Intermediate 11.00
One mark for each 100 in B.A / B.Sc. 8.00
Ten marks for each 100 in the subject 20
Written test 25
Interview 10
Total 82.5
The candidates will have to fill out seperate forms for these seats and write words "Reserved Seat" in red ink
Disability Basis
One Seat per discipline is reserved for the disabled / handicapped applicant. Physical disability means the disability that cannot be rectified by any equipment. Being short sighted and hard of hearing does not fall in the category of disability for admission purposes. The candidate must enclose the proof of her disability duly signed by the M.S Services Hospital with her form.
Sports Basis
One seat per discipline is reserved on sports basis. Only university color holders are eligible to apply for this seat.
Self-Finance Basis
Five seats per discipline have been allocated on self’ finance basis. Candidates selected on inter se merit will pay Rs. 50,000/- along with normal fee per year for part I and part II separately.
Self finance fee is non refundable.
General conditions for admission against these reserved seats are the same as laid down for the candidates applying for admission on merit.
Admission test is compulsory for all the candidates applying on merit as well as on reserved seats. Only those candidates will be called for interview who have qualified the written test with 40% passing marks.
- Students will get the prospectus along with form for M.A., M.Sc. and a separate form for reserved seats and mention the seat in red ink. They will fill out the form in their own handwriting. They will attach the following documents:
- Two Photocopies of Matric and Inter result Card.
- Two Photocopies of B.A / B.Sc. result Card.
- Father's and candidate's National ID Card.
- Character Certificate.
- Two Photographs
- Father / Guardian's Income Certificate
- The candidates are required to bring their original documents at the time of the payment of dues.
- The selected candidates shall pay the dues by the dates notified otherwise their seats will be cancelled.
- Due to limited seats in the hostel, hostel seat will be granted on merit only.
- The students from the other colleges shall provide NOC from their respective universities.
- All the selected candidates are required to bring all original documents and two passport size
- Admission on general seats is granted strictly on merit.
