Admission to Intermediate Program

 

 

  • Admission Policy

Admission to the candidates of various classes at Lahore College for Women University is granted on merit in accordance with the rules and policy of the Government on the dates notified by the Lahore Board. Admission notice is duly advertised in the local newspapers, with the condition that no application from will be accepted after the last date notified. After the completion of all necessary stages of admission the list of successful candidates selected on merit is displayed on the University Notice Board. The admission of the students who fail to pay all their dues in time is cancelled.


Important Note

The University administration reserves the right to cancle the provisional admission/migration of a candidate, if at any stage after the admission/migration, it comes totheir knowledge that the document presented by her are fake or there is a mis-statement or there is a clerical error in the documents.

Roll Number / Section Slip

Soon after payment of the dues, each candidate is required to see the teacher on duty and get the roll no. and section issued at the back of the fee receipt otherwise her admission will be cancelled. In case of loss of fee slip, duplicate will be issued on payment of fine Rs. 50/- only. Change of roll no. and section is strictly prohibited in any case.

  • Reserved Seats

Disability Basis
2% seats are reserved for disabled students. Candidates must enclose the certificate of their physical disability signed by the M.S. Services Hospital with their forms and appear for interview on the dates notified. Physical disability means disability rectified by any equipment. Short sightedness and “hard of hearing” does not fall under the definition of disability.

Sports Seats
2% seats are reserved on Sports basis. District / Board Level palyers only can apply against these seats.

Foreign Students Seats
15 seats are reserved for foreign students. They may apply to the Ministry Education Islamabad through their Embassy. They will pay Rs. 50,000/- along with normal fee for part I and part II separately

Senior-Cambridge / O’ level Students
10% seats are reserved for the senior Cambridge / O level students who are granted provisional admission. They will apply for admission along with matriculation students. The candidates seeking admission in F.Sc must have studied science subjects in O’levels/ senior Cambridge. They must have passed four elective subjects along with compulsory subjects. The selected candidates must submit their result cards with Equivalence certificates issued from Islamabad with their forms. Otherwise they will not be registered with B.I.S.E Lahore.

Self-Finance Basis
These are 100 additional seats on the self finance basis the students selected on these seats will pay Rs.50,000 per annum along with normal fee for part1 and part 2 separately.

  • Admission Procedure

The candidates are required to fill out white forms for arts, blue forms for all groups of science and yellow forms for all reserved and additional seats.

Every candidate is required to enclose the attested photo copies of the following documents with her form.

a. Detailed mark card for matriculation ( Two Copies).
b. Provisional/Character Certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
c. Original migration certificate and one photo copy of the certificate from the former Board (this condition is for those candidates who have passed their matriculation examination from other boards.
d. Photocopy of the National Identity Card of Father/Guardian.
e. Monthly income certificate of Father/Guardian.

All selected candidates are required to bring all original documents and 1” x 1” photograph at the time of depositing the University dues of otherwise they will not be allowed to pay the dues.

The candidate must not be above 18 years of age on the last date of the receipt of forms.

Admission on the general seats is granted strictly on merit.

Migration

Local migration is not allowed. Migration from other cities is allowed on fulfillment of the following conditions.

a. Transfer of father or transfer of residence of parents.
b. The candidate's matric marks should not be below the University merit.
c. Payment of University dues per anum at the time of migration is compulsory
d. Students migrating from other cities are not eligible for hostel seat.
