Gender Dimension of Pakistan’s Macro Economic Development

Faculty Development Centre, DFDI of LCWU has organized a international seminar on “Gender Dimension of Pakistan’s Macro Economic Development” in October, 2019 for the faculty and students of LCWU which was conducted by an international speaker Dr. Karin Astrid Siegmann, who is a Senior Lecturer of Labour and Gender Economics at International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.

It was a great opportunity provided to the participants to explore the economy of social development in Pakistan. They learned how macro-economic growth has been associated with different sectoral employment elasticities for women & men in Pakistan.Theoretical perspectives on female growth elasticities of employment was also a part of discussion.

The interactive session were followed by the souvenir awarding by Dr. BushraMirza, Vice Chancellor, LCWU.
The seminar was attended by faculty members and students from various department of LCWU.
