Seminar on “Career Orientation”

Department of Economics in collaboration with student service centre conducted a seminar on “Career Orientation” on 25th January, 2007. Speakers belonging to various professions participated in the seminar and highlighted various aspects of their respective fields. Prof. Mrs. Riffat Saqlain gave the key note address. She pointed out the need of women empowerment to achieve the development goals. Ms. Shagufta Zareen, Special Assistant to Commissioner, shared her views with the students about the civil services and its various aspects like how to apply, how to prepare for the papers, etc. Mr. Idrees Qamar, Principal, Management Training Institute, HBL and Mr. Kamran Shams, Head Human Resource Department discussed the banking as a career for the female, its suitability, demands and skills required for it. Dr. A. R. Chaudhary former Dean of Social Science at PU, Eminent Scholar from HEC, concluded the session.
