6th Regional Dialogue on Peace and Youth Cooperation by BARGAD

In March, Lahore College for Women University participated in a four-day regional dialogue organized by Bargad – an organization working for peace and youth Cooperation Project in Pakistan at GIFT University, Gujranwala from 21st-24th March 2008. The theme of this year’s dialogue was “Inter-provincial Harmony and Youth”. Ms Sadya Gonda, Lecturer in English, served as a panelist in one of the sessions focusing on “The Constitutional Dimensions of Inter-provincial Harmony”. Ayesha and Arjumand-students of MA English II were the two active students who participated enthusiastically in all of the sessions. Many renowned key speakers such as Dr. Kaiser Bengali, Dr. Tariq Rehman, Dr. Salman Humayoun, and Mr. Amir Riaz highlighted the different factors of inter-provincial caustic relations. The dialogue concluded with a vow to promote inter-provincial harmony and peace through different constructive projects.
