The Organic Section of Chemistry Department is pleased to announce that 1st International Seminar on Medicinal Plants (ISMP) will be held in Lahore College for Women University on May 15- 17, 2008.
The main theme of the Seminar will be ‘Applications of Medicinal Plants in Pharmaceuticals, Environment and Industries’ and it will cover the following topics:

• Isolation of novel bioactive principals
• Phytoremediation of toxic metals
• Aromatics as alternate energy source
• Phytopesticides
• Phytofertalizers
• Pharmacological evaluation of plant products
• Synthesis of secondary metabolites
• New processes for extraction of commercial chemical raw materials 

A large number of researchers from Universities of Karachi, Jamshoro, Faisalabad, Balochistan, Kohat, Peshawar, Azad Kashmir, Islamabad, Iran,  India, Bangla Desh and UK will be participating giving an excellent opportunity to vendors of chemical/Pharmaceutical, equipment and supplies.

You are kindly requested to book for your stalls/banners positively by 20 April 2008.

Following are the booking rates. The cash should be deposited with the under-signed,

Booking rates (Cash):
Rs 15000/ stall
Banners exceeding (1 m x 2.5 m) = Rs.12000
Banners smaller than (1 m x 2.5 m) bigger than (0.9 m x1.5m) = Rs. 9000
Banners smaller than (0.9 m x 1.5 m) = Rs. 6000
