Girls in the winner circle at Pictronix 2008 held at University of Central Punjab

LCWU stole the show at Pictronix 2008 held at University of central Punjab.

170 teams including FAST, NUST, LUMS, GIKI, PU and other leading institutes from all over Pakistan participated in Pictronix 2008 held at The University of central Punjab. Among other competitions LCWU participated in ON-Spot-Programming and Quiz Competition.

LCWU’s programming team comprised of Kanwal Iqbal, Fuleah Abdul Razaq and Hina Naseem of BS-CS VI bagged 1st position out of 71 teams. The on-spot programming competition was structured to test student’s ability to come up with efficient solutions to complex questions in limited time. Lahore College for Women University’s students won cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-

In quiz competition Rabia Azhar, Ayesha Javed and Maryam Azam of LCWU took 2nd position among 41 teams from all over Pakistan. The final round winds up on tie and University of Gujrat was fortunate to broke it. Our students were awarded with the prize money of Rs. 2500/-

Overall it was a great learning experience for them and a great honor for University having been the only Women University Participating.
