Dear Students!
I welcome you all at one of the finest and largest higher education institution for women in Pakistan. It’s my privilege to become first ever Pro-Vice Chancellor of LCWU.I count myself among the blessed ones to be granted the opportunity of making a difference in the lives of the young girls in the capacity of an educationist and an administrator. Lahore College for Women University strives to achieve academic excellence through continuous improvement in research and teaching by providing faculty and students with an environment conducive for creation, dissemination and assimilation of knowledge. The University offers graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs of studies in the diverse fields. The University is educating and training potential women leaders to meet the challenges of the contemporary world. Various new disciplines, programs and a multidisciplinary approach have been incorporated to promote higher education. The university has established external linkages through ORIC with the top higher education institutions and industries at national and international level to promote innovative research. In order to ensure the provision of quality education, QEC vigorously engaged in conducting Self-Assessment programs throughout the year for internal quality assessment of all the academic programs offered at the University and its affiliated Colleges in order to achieve academic excellence.
Students play the role of backbone of every nation. They determine the future of every society. I personally am a staunch believer that it is only the education which determines the progress of an individual and a nation. Therefore, we are striving hard to promote innovation and entrepreneurship at the varsity. We also provide ample opportunities to our students to be engaged in community projects.
At LCWU, we admit students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to pursuing their studies they also reach out to the community and involve themselves in co-curricular programs. Our goal is to help our students to become academically efficient; socially responsible; and intellectually productive citizens of the country and of the world.
All the students in the University are welcomed with the optimism that their stay would be rewarding for the state and their future career.
