An informational talk entitled “ SDG’s Need of The Day” was organised by Alberuni Physics Society and Department of Physics, LCWU, Lahore on 12 December, 2023. The guest speaker Mr. Awais Ahmed from University of Cordoba, Spain talked about The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with respect to nanotechnology, nano Science and Physics which outline a roadmap towards a more equitable future for humanity. He emphasised on implementation of SDGs to preserve the environment, protect biodiversity, mitigate climate change, eradicate poverty, promote social inclusivity, and foster long-term economic growth in Pakistan and worldwide. He discussed many routes to do quality research and get publications in high impact factor journals. At the end of talk, the faculty and students participated in questions and answers session on SDGs related to Science and Prof. Dr. Zohra Nazir Kayani expressed admiration for the successful conduction of talk on SDGs.
