Seminar on Peace Justice and Strong Institutions by Zia-ul-Haq, CEO Youth Club

Khadija Tul Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC) organized a prestigious event on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by Mr. Zia-ul-Haq, the founder of Youth Club under Hult and Zindigi Prize on 12th February, 2024 at Iqra Auditorium, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).
The event commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran  followed by an introduction to K-BIC by Dr. Maria Anjum, Director K-BIC. The introductory note highlighted the center's role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty by providing resources, mentorship, workshops and trainings to facilitate young entrepreneurs to be successful in their ventures.

Ms. Shermeen Shehzad, Campus Director, presented an introduction to Zindigi Prize, a year-long social entrepreneurship program focused on extracting ideas from the grassroots and empowering young entrepreneurs through funding, training and mentoring. 

Hult prize was presented by Ms. Kinza Mukhtar, Campus Director, who highlighted the importance of entrepreneurial solutions in addressing global challenges and provided a brief introduction of Hult Prize objectives and roadmap.

The esteemed guest speaker Mr. Zia-ul-Haq delivered a thought-provoking speech, shedding light on the prevalent psychological problems, and the linkage with peace and justice within society. He highlighted how a system of justice internal within human faculty and external in the form of institutions plays role in defining strong and effective institutions within society.  He also emphasized the ideological spirit of societal excellence in relation to entrepreneurial grounds and professional practices.During his address, Mr. Zia-ul-Haq shared his personal journey towards Islamic wisdom, recounting the experiences and challenges he faced while following this path. He encouraged participants to align their mindset with their actions, urging them to set goals and have a clear vision regarding their perception towards life. He emphasized on the Islamic philosophy of justice which requires understanding of yourself, knowledge and research of worldly matters, importance of patience & sacrifice; collective wisdom and actions towards the formation of healthy society which largely impact the way institutions operate.The talk was followed by an interactive question and answer session with participants, allowing them to engage further with the topic and gain valuable insights. The event was attended by an audience of more than 800 participants including students, faculty and staff of various departments at LCWU.
