Summary: “The main objective of “MobiGrab” is the mobile security and to help mobile user to trace his/her mobile in case of accidental theft. Security actions can range from ringing a simple alarm sound on receiving a defined text to automatically encrypt mobile data in a predefined situation. “MobiGrab” provides mobile and SIM tracking, camera trap and remote controlled actions. The change of SIM card is detected and a blacklisted numbers are recognized, the SIM information such as SIM number and IMEI number, and the user’s current location will be sent to the predefined number through SMS and E-Mail. The unauthorized unlock attempt by entering wrong pass code three times, leads to front camera capture. The image of the person and mobile location is sent through an e-mail and the location of mobile will be sent on a predefined number through SMS. The current location of user will also be sent through SMS and E-mail when mobile is going to shut down or switch-off. On receiving a special predefined SMS, profile changes from silent to general and alarm sound rings at the same time. It can also lock the mobile on receiving the predefined SMS from another number.

  2. Local Connectivity and Cross-Layer Design for Future Broadband Mobile Systems (LOCON)-European Programme-FP7
    • – 31.12.2012
LOCON is the successor of multi-year PANU project. It explores innovative ways to utilize local connectivity through, e.g., self-organization and cognitive techniques in indoor stand-alone & networked and outdoor fixed relay & mobile femtocells enhanced network architectures. Flexible resource management, sharing, and use as well as interference and mobility management are important research themes in these concepts. Fundamental theoretical cross-layer network design is also integral part of the project content. The main targeted system standards are IMT-A and systems beyond that.
  1. Broadband Evolved FEMTO Networks (BeFemto)-European Programme-FP7
1.1.2010 – 30.6.2012
BeFemto is a EU project addressing broadband communications, which is an important stimulus to the European economy. It aims to research and develop evolved femtocell technologies that accelerate cost-effective provision of ubiquitous broadband services by smoother convergence between fixed and wireless broadband. The key objectives of BeFemto are optimization of radio access, self optimization techniques, new indoor positioning technique, network synchronization and intelligent interference management, cooperative networked femtocells enabling highly flexible and resource efficient coverage extension, mobile femtocells and validation of developed technologies using testbeds and simulation tools.
