Brief Statement of Research Interest

From many fields in the Computer Science, I am especially interested in Computer vision, image processing, visual detection, tracking & navigation and embedded systems. Within this field, I am concerned with different vision algorithms and their applications. My research focuses on developing algorithms that can improve feature matching, by representing informative parts of an image while reducing the computational overhead for real time image processing. Moreover, simple and effective methods for automatic pattern identification for normal or abnormal behavior classification in predetermined areas under surveillance to make it smart and intelligent environment.

Furthermore, I am working in a group of researchers who are trying to develop new detectors and descriptors for tracking and navigation applications both for robots and humans. I have recently published three research papers regarding my field. Two more research papers are under review in international journals. Simultaneously, we are working to compare the performance of different non-parametric statistical tests for vision data.
