Ms. Farhan Naz Presented Research paper on “Interiors and Advance Materials” for International Business Conference and Exhibition 2018 at Expo Center Lahore on 24th to 26th October 2018.
Ms. Farhana Naz was invited as guest speaker on World Interior Day at Interior Design Department University of Faisalabad on 25th May 2017.

· Solo Show of Paintings was displayed by Dr. Samina Nasim at Hamail Art Galleries. The Show was inaugurated by Mr. Ansar Majeed Khan Niazi, Provincial Minister Punjab. The Art pieces with magically used bright colours reflecting Samina’s love for nature. The exhibition was highly appreciated by the art lovers.

· Different Workshops and Lecture related to relevant fields are arranged for the faculty and students of the Departments IDVA. The students developed their awareness, knowledge, understanding and skills in the professional practice and management of interior and Textile Design.

· 19th February Photography workshop of 4th year BFA 2012-16 at Faisal Ameer Studio, Garden Town for indoor studio photography. Students were taken with Ms. Ayesha Bilal (faculty Graphic Design Dept, LCWU) who is conducting the course along with Ms. Mahrukh Khan the class teacher and dept. coordinator. Timings: 10:00 am – 05:00 pm.
· Seminar on ‘Education in 21st Century’ conducted by DFDI 4th February, 2016- 26th February, 2016, timings 2-4pm attended by Ms. Saba Mujeeb Baig.

· Ms. Farhana Naz organized “Lecture leading to factory visit and workshop” on Introduction, Use and Implementation of Glass in Interiors (interior Design Department) by Jillani Glass on 3rd to 6th May 2017.
· Students of Interior Design Dept. ACP attended the Seminar at PC Hotel of Bargad Organization for Youth Development on 19th July, 2016. The students and faculty signed the youth petition wall.

The Interior Design discipline covers the designing of buildings, interior spaces, furniture and other accessories, by producing contemporary, original, functional and aesthetical solutions, in line with the users physiological, psychological and sociocultural requirements; paralleled with the technological progresses. The admitted designers trained as such do take up the human and place – furniture interrelation from technical (construction, materials, etc.) and aesthetic (form, color, texture, etc.) dimensions.
Each faculty member of Interior Design Department offers her own expertise in the areas of theoretical and technical knowledge, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, teamwork, leadership and practical experience. The training objective is to raise students as able designers to take part in both national and international platforms, fully equipped with the riches of their cultural geography This goal takes its content from pioneering professional names who are invited at different times to conduct the juries and project work discussions, seminars and lectures leading to workshops supported by a program in which the specific and general design principles are approached primarily.

The four Years Bachelors Program in Interior Design will provide students with professional design experience working at different local and Global architecture firms and design studios. The Advanced-Level Training will challenge the students to consider how interior design affects the way we live, work, and connect with one another. Our Graduates will be prepared for a lasting and meaningful interior design career.
