First Entrepreneurial Coach Training (Level I):

Dates: August 27-29, 2024
Participants: 41 faculty members from LCWU and Riphah University, Lahore
Outcome: Attendees received the Entrepreneurial Coach Level 1 certificate.

This certification allows faculty members to act as official entrepreneurial coaches, reinforcing the program’s goal of creating a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in the academic community.

Khadija-Tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC) is committed to continuously enhancing the human resource capacity in the field of entrepreneurship. This commitment extends beyond LCWU, with plans to integrate regional educational institutions and foster a collaborative ecosystem where entrepreneurship thrives, not only in theory but also in practical application.

By keeping long term vision in mind, the collaboration of Khadija-Tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center (K-BIC) with Take-Up Project is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem within Lahore College for Women University and beyond. This initiative is crucial in building the foundation for entrepreneurship through capacity-building programs that target faculty, staff, and students, and expand entrepreneurial support services within the university and its neighboring institutions.

Objectives:

Train Entrepreneurial Coaches
K-BIC and Take-Up have been working to train faculty members and staff as entrepreneurial coaches. This will equip them with the knowledge and skills to guide aspiring entrepreneurs, create business solutions, and mentor startups.
Establish a Network of Certified Startup Consultants
By offering certification, K-BIC aims to establish a pool of qualified consultants who can provide mentorship, advisory, and practical support to emerging entrepreneurs, ensuring that startups receive the guidance they need to thrive.

Take-Up Project Overview:

Launched under Erasmus+ Program:

The Take-Up Project is part of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education initiative, designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset within universities. It was launched by the University of Saarland (Germany) in collaboration with various universities in Pakistan (including LCWU, COMSATS, GCU, CUI, University of Gujarat, and LUMS).

Focus:
The project aimed to develop a culture of entrepreneurship across university campuses by training faculty members and staff, motivating students, and encouraging research-driven entrepreneurship.

Overview

Khadija Tul Kubra Business Incubation Center of LCWU aims at fostering the spirit of social and technical entrepreneurship and nurturing the culture of start-ups and spin-offs by providing an entrepreneurial development ecosystem to the LCWU in particular and to youth in general. LCWU as a leading partner in the entrepreneurial consortium comprising Virtual University of Pakistan and Fatima Jinnah Medical College launched the establishment of Khadija Tul Kubra, Business Incubation Center in Lahore College for Women University on October 12, 2022.

The Entrepreneurial Club, established on August 21, 2023, operates within the framework of the esteemed Khadija-tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center. With a membership of 22 dedicated individuals, the club is led by a President and a Secretary, supported by a team of 10 management members, 3 proficient graphic designers, 3 skilled content writers, and 3 dynamic social media handlers.

The Entrepreneurial Club at Khadija-tul-Kubra Business Incubation Center is poised to continue its impactful work, empowering budding entrepreneurs and contributing to the growth and development of innovative business ventures. Their dedication to creating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem is a testament to their passion and drive for business success.

Objective

“The objective of Entrepreneurial Club is to increase the successful expansion of new businesses and employment in specific sectors that are aligned with a region’s distinctive areas of opportunity.”
