Research Interests

  • Thermophysical characterization of porous building materials and development of environmentally friendly bio-waste added bricks.
  • Sub-florescence, efflorescence and salt crystallization effects in porous building materials and electrokinetic desalination of salts from building materials to cope with energy crises in Pakistan and worldwide.
  • Life cycle assessment, simulation, and statistical analysis for sustainable waste/pollution management,
  • Exploring nanoparticles and nanoscience for self-cleaning properties and also to improve/study mechanical properties of building materials or cement-based materials.

Experimental Expertise

  • Hands-on experience on Hot Disk (TPS 500 S) Thermal Constants Analyzer, Freeze Dryer, Electronic Universal Testing Machine, Distilled Water Machine, Nimbus Analytical Balance, Memmert Universal Heating Oven, Neycraft Electrical Furnace and designed a humidity box for determination of thermal properties of moist samples.
  • Expertise in finding out mineral composition using XRD and SEM-EDS analysis by Match!
  • Expertise in analyzing SEM images of samples (pore Pore size distribution) and FTIR analysis.
