The Department of STEM Education was proposed in accordance with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that
1. Promotes Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment through STEM education.
2. Encourages Global Partnerships by fostering research and academic collaboration.
3. Builds Capacity and Innovation to address educational challenges at national and international levels.
4. Equips women with STEM Skills to contribute to sustainable progress and community development.
The Department of STEM Education was proposed in Accordance with the SDGs, this Department aims to:
- Contribute to SDG 4: Quality Education by providing inclusive, equitable, and innovative learning opportunities in STEM.
- Support SDG 5: Gender Equality by empowering women through advanced education and leadership in science and technology.
- Strengthen SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by preparing skilled graduates who can thrive in knowledge-based economies.
- Advance SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure through research, creativity, and technological innovation.
- Promote SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by engaging in national and international collaborations for research and development.
