Brief statement of Research Interest
Advance research in plant omics is essential for understanding and developing essential tool for the improvement of crops that are experiencing challenges in the present scenarios of climate change, especially, under salinity or other abiotic stresses. I want to lead a research team to contribute in the development of stress tolerant or resistant agricultural crops to cope with the global climate change and utilization of the barren or uncultivable land especially in semi-arid regions where drought and salinity are rapidly deteriorating the quality of agricultural land. I will be readily available to share my knowledge and expertise with young scholars through supervision of undergraduate, graduate and PhD students in the area of my expertise. As a mentor, I can provide a conducive learning environment, access to resources and growth opportunities for young female researchers at my institute that will enable them to achieve long-term academic goals.
