Lahore, August 20, 2025, The Graphic Design Department of Lahore College for Women University, Lahore proudly held its final year thesis degree show at Alhamra Art Gallery from 21-24 August, 2025. The degree show was inaugurated by the esteemed Mr. Shahid Nadeem (a renowned journalist, TV drama director, screen play writer and Chairman Ajoka Theatre) he commended the creativity and thoughtful engagement reflected in the students’ work.
The degree show efforts was supported by LCWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, who appreciated the remarkable efforts of the students, and acknowledged the dedication of the supervising faculty.
84 graduating students showcasing their thesis projects, the display featured a wide array of themes and mediums. Students explored and addressed pressing social issues such as the negative impact of social media on the younger generation, the importance of self-awareness, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and various commercial projects. In addition to these socially conscious themes, the exhibition also presented innovative video games, short animated films, website designs, and advertising campaigns demonstrating a blend of artistic vision and technical proficiency.
