A Calligraphy Competition organized by Arabic department
in connection with "Ashra Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen held in LCWU
On 28th August 2025, the Arabic Calligraphy Society and Department of Arabic organized a Calligraphy Competition in connection with "Ashra Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen" under the esteemed patronage of Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi, Vice Chancellor, LCWU.
Students enthusiastically showcased their artistic skills through inspiring and creative calligraphic presentations. The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi (Dean, Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning), who highly appreciated the efforts of the department in promoting Arabic calligraphy.
The competition was judged by Dr. Ayesha Shahzad and Dr. Sadia Murtaza, they praised the creativity, dedication, and aesthetic sense reflected in the participants’ work.
1st Position: Swera Rasheed (Department of Home Economics)
2nd Position: Areeba Akram (Department of English)
3rd Position: Mahnoor Ayub (Department of Arabic)
4th Position: Zoya Akram (Department of Arabic)
The event concluded on a successful note, with participants and judges acknowledging the significance of promoting Arabic calligraphy and connecting it with the spiritual essence of Ashra Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen.
