77th Death Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Commemorated at LCWU
Lahore College for Women University observed the 77th Death Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to pay tribute to his life and legacy.
The program featured recitation, the national anthem, a student-presented documentary on Quaid-e-Azam’s political journey and visionary leadership, and national songs.
Prof. Dr. Zahida Sulaiman Shaharyar, renowned historian, Head of Pakistan Studies Department at Minhaj University, and former LCWU faculty member who served the institution for 27 years, delivered a keynote address. She highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s struggle for independence, the pivotal role of Muslim women—including Bi Amma and the Muslim League Women’s Wing, and the enduring relevance of Jinnah’s leadership for Pakistan’s future.
Souvenirs and certificates were also distributed among students. The Department of Pakistan Studies at LCWU organized the event as a modest effort to inspire students with the history of Pakistan’s creation and the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
