Intermediate Section organized an Introductory Session in collaboration with the PGGA

The Intermediate Section of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) organized an engaging Introductory Session in collaboration with the Pakistan Girl Guide Association (PGGA), Lahore.

The Welcome Note was delivered by Dr. Aisha Saddiqa, Head of the Intermediate Section. Dr. Aisha emphasized the significance of the Girl Guide in shaping character and leadership among young women.The keynote presentation was delivered by Mrs. Nadeema Zafar, Deputy Provincial Commissioner of PGGA. She provided a comprehensive overview of the organization's work both in Pakistan and globally, highlighting its various projects, commemorative events, and training programs. Further enriching the session, Mrs. Salma Sajjad, Senior Guide Trainer, briefed the audience about upcoming events and activities. Adding a personal perspective, Ujjala Fatima, an LCWU alumna and a young leader shared her motivational journey.

Dr. Neelma Munir, Convenor of the Intermediate Self-Supporting Program, expressed gratitude to the university’s administration and especially the Vice Chancellor for their support in organizing the event.

The session concluded with inspiring remarks from Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor of LCWU. She urged all students to actively participate in the Girl Guide, highlighting its role in developing punctuality, discipline, and a balanced lifestyle. Dr. Quraishi reaffirmed LCWU’s commitment to education and expressed her hope to see LCWU students among the most trained and dedicated Girl Guides in the country. The Vice chancellor told the students that this session aimed to introduce students to the mission, values, and opportunities offered by the Girl Guide.
