Dr. Nausheen Mazhar, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), was invited as a Keynote Speaker at the Training Course on "Programming for Web GIS Development using Open Source Technologies" held on 24th September 2025 at the SUPARCO (Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission) Headquarters, Lahore. The event was jointly organized by ISNET (Inter-Islamic Network on Space Science & Technology) and SUPARCO.

Dr. Mazhar delivered a keynote address on the topic “Future Global Advances of RS & GIS in Context of Climate and Environmental Resilience.” Her talk focused on the transformative role of remote sensing and geospatial technologies in addressing global climate challenges, enhancing environmental resilience, and supporting sustainable development goals.

The session was attended by a diverse audience comprising national and international participants, and it remained highly engaging and informative. Dr. Mazhar’s participation highlighted LCWU’s growing academic and research contributions in the field of geospatial science, climate change, and environmental sustainability at national and international forums.
