The Climate Gala 2025 commenced at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) with great enthusiasm, marking the start of a two-day celebration dedicated to climate awareness, youth leadership, and women-led innovation in sustainability.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor LCWU, and Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, who appreciated the university’s proactive role in promoting climate education and empowering young changemakers. Organized in collaboration with Bargad and the Forum for Dignity Initiatives (FDI), the event brought together policymakers, academics, faith representatives, and youth advocates to advance inclusive and gender-responsive climate action, with special emphasis on the participation of minority communities and their role in environmental stewardship.

The day also featured the Green Bazaar showcasing eco-friendly innovations and sustainable products by women entrepreneurs and students. The Climate Gala 2025 continues tomorrow with technical sessions and youth dialogues, reaffirming LCWU’s leadership in fostering sustainability, inclusivity, and women’s empowerment for a climate-resilient Pakistan.
