The Department of Sociology, LCWU, conducted the fifth lecture of its “Series of Lectures". The session addressed the theme, “Who Makes a Woman’s Career Possible? A Sociological Look at Family Influence.” The guest speaker, Dr. Fouzia Sadaf from the University of the Punjab, discussed how family support, gender norms, and socialization shape women’s career paths. Dr. Asma Seemi Malik highlighted the importance of supportive family environments and gender-aware perspectives. The session was organized by Dr. Kiran Ikram and Ms. Komal Riaz Cheema and it was concluded with a token of appreciation for the speaker.
