The Department of Persian, LCWU, organized the Inter-Department “Rumi & Iqbal Poetry Recitation Competition” under the patronage of the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi. The event featured Urdu and Persian recitations celebrating the literary legacy of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi and Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sabir (Guest of Honour), Prof. Dr. Rehana Kausar and Dr. Shahida Alam served as judges. Director DFDI Prof. Dr. Zohra Kiyani and faculty members from various departments graced the event. The ceremony concluded with remarks by Dean, Faculty of Islamic & Oriental Learning, and Prof. Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, followed by bouquet, shields, and certificate distribution.
