A Delegation from a Korean University visited Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with the objective of exploring avenues of academic collaboration, particularly in the field of Korean Language learning and the prospective establishment of a Department of Korean Language at LCWU.
The delegation was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, who extended a warm welcome and delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the university’s institutional profile, achievements, and strategic vision.
The meeting was attended by the Dean, Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning, Prof. Dr. Syeda Faliha Zahra Kazmi; Prof. Dr. Zohra Kiyani; Director, Directorate of Faculty Development and Internationalisation (DFDI); Dr Ayesha Siddiquah, Head, Intermmediate College; Dr. Sumera Sajjad; Director, Student Affairs; Director, Academic Planning, Dr. Arham; and Chairperson, Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Abuzar Faheim. The participants engaged in deliberations with the delegation on matters of mutual academic interest and potential areas of cooperation.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the E-Rozgar Laboratory of LCWU, where they interacted with students and were apprised of the university’s initiatives in digital learning and entrepreneurship.
