The Career Guidance and Counseling Centre (CGCC), in collaboration with the TESOL Department, organized a Psychoeducation Lecture on 7th October 2025 for graduating students and faculty in observance of World Mental Health Day.
This interactive activity emphasized high Emotional Intelligence (EI) as a key asset for educators, enhancing both personal mental well-being and professional effectiveness in the classroom. The discussion covered aspects of mental hygiene, common psychological issues and their symptoms, and the protective role of EI in sustaining mental health. The lecture also included practical self-help skills for managing stress and emotional challenges. Dr. Mamoona Riaz, a psychologist at the CGCC, was the resource person for the event.
This activity reflects LCWU’s unwavering commitment to fostering a mentally healthy and supportive academic environment for both students and staff.
