Workshop on “Stress management” was conducted by Student Counselor/ Psychologist Dr. Tabinda Jalil, on 20th Nov, 2025. Faculty and students from department of Arabic attended the workshop. Agenda of the workshop was to educate participants about stress, its impact on physical and mental health, and difference between good and bad stress. Participants were asked to identify and write their stressors and their positive and negative ways of managing stress.

Cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and physical symptoms of stress were described to the participants. Furthermore, they were illustrated physiological changes that occur during a stressful situation, and how persistent stress can lead to development of different life threatening diseases. Participants learned ways of identifying cognitive errors that contribute to stress. In the end of the workshop, stress management strategies were taught. Relaxation techniques for coping with stress were taught and practiced.
