Successful Completion of the NRPU HEC Integrated STEAM Pedagogy Project

Project Completion and Final Teacher Conference: NRPU HEC Integrated STEAM Pedagogy Initiative (36-Month Cycle)
The NRPU HEC Integrated STEAM Pedagogy Project for Teacher Capacity Building and Professional Development has successfully come to its conclusion. Led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Asma Shahid Kazi, the project completed its 36-month iterative cycle with the 3rd and final Teacher Conference held in the last year, marking the culmination of sustained needs analysis, STEAM training, classroom mentoring, curriculum adaptation, and dissemination of outcomesNRPUproject1.jpg - 459.15 kBThis closing conference was closely linked with the practicum conducted in the Department of Elementary & Teacher Education, and was organized by Dr. Shabana Manzoor, Dr. Rakhshanda Naeem, and Dr. Moafia Nader. The conference featured four distinguished panelists: Mr. Khet Kumar (STEM expert), Ms. Aamina Shakir (Academic Head, Door of Awareness Schools), Ms. Fatima Rahman (PhD Scholar, Tufts University, USA), and Dr. Moafia Nader (STEAM practicum mentor for pre-service teachers).

The event was attended by esteemed guests including Ms. Ruba Humayun (CEO, Door of Awareness) and her team, teachers from five participating Door of Awareness schools, respected faculty members from the Faculty of Education, Ms. Kashfi Butt and colleagues from the Teacher Professional Development Center (The City School), and participants from practicum partner schools such as The Educators, The City School, and other government schools.NRPUproject2.jpg - 180.84 kBAlhamdulillah, the project has produced lasting outcomes including STEAM training manuals, curriculum units, makerspaces, and strengthened school-university partnerships.
