HEC Team Visited LCWU for Final Monitoring of USAID Scholarship Program

A delegation from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) visited Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on April 23, 2026, to conduct the final monitoring and close-out review of the second phase of the USAID Merit and Need-Based Scholarship Program (MNBSP).HECvisitedLCWUScholorship2.jpg - 452.88 kBThe delegation, led by Ms. Ayesha Ikram, Director General (HRD), met with the Vice Chancellor of LCWU, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi. During the meeting, Ms. Ikram discussed the strategic agenda of the MNBSP and highlighted the program's impact on female education since its launch in 2013. USAID Scholarship program was initiated in 2014 and complete in 2023 with 6 phases. Almost 172 students benefitted from this program.

As part of the visit, Mr. Rao Muhammad Azhar Ali Khan, Program Director (USAID & BUSP), along with his technical team, held detailed sessions with university officials.
