1-    Degree Programs Offered with Eligibility Criteria

 

DEE is offering three-degree programs as follows 

 

1-    Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (B.E. Electrical) with Specialization in 

a)    Electronics

b)    Computers

2-    Masters in Electrical Engineering (MS-EE)

3-    PhD in Electrical Engineering (PhD-EE) 

Eligibility Criteria for B.E. Electrical

Female candidates possessing any of the following intermediate qualifications, with a minimum of 60% marks, are eligible

1.                  FSc. Pre-Engineering

2.                  FSc. Pre-Medical

3.                  A level with FSc./ ICS equivalence

4.                  ICS with physics combination

5.                  DAE (Electronics/ Electrical)

6.                  B.Sc. (with relevant discipline)

Note:

1-    Candidates applying on the basis of first-year (HSSC Part-I) results may be granted provisional admission. However, if after the declaration of HSSC Part-II result, the candidate's overall marks fall below 60%, their provisional admission will be cancelled without exception.

2-  The Department of Electrical Engineering will adhere to PEC’s revised admission policy Reference No. PEC/EAD/49-GB/004/2024 July 11, 2024, allowing HSSC (Pre-Medical) students through a mandatory 8-week Mathematics foundation program and a separate entry test. Up to 40% of seats may be allocated to such students, subject to eligibility and merit as per PEC guidelines.

3-    Following are the designated Entity to conduct Entry test as per PEC admission policy.

i.      Entry Test being conducted by UET Lahore

ii.    Entry test being conducted by NED-UET, Karachi and MUET, Jamshoro

iii.   Entry test being conducted by NUST, Islamabad

iv.   Entry Test being conducted by NTS

v.    Entry Test being conducted by ETEA

vi.   Any other existing recognized entity conducting entry test.

Eligibility criteria for the degree program MS-EE

  • 16 years of education in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (securing a minimum of 60% marks / CGPA of 2.5/4.00)

  • Candidate must have valid PEC registration number
  • Entry Test (HAT) with 50% qualifying marks organized by ETC-HEC is mandatory for admission.

  • Merit will be calculated as per HEC policy.

  • Candidates working in Government/semi-government institutions have to submit NOC from concerned organization

Eligibility criteria for the degree program PhD-EE 

·         Female candidates with minimum Eighteen years of education (MPhil/MS) or equivalent in the relevant field are eligible to apply.

·         The candidate must have obtained 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or First division in annual system.

·         Candidates must pass HAT-PHD arranged by ETC-HEC with at least 60% marks.

·         Interview organized by the University is mandatory for admission in PhD program.

·   Candidates working in Government/semi-government institutions have to submit NOC from concerned organization

Additional requirements: 

       Applicants are required to submit a well-developed research proposal.

       Admissions in PhD program will be carried out once a year depending on the availability of seats.

       All other requirements as per university policy (University Admission Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Program)
