Department of Social Work, Lahore College for Women University in collaboration with " Social Welfare Department, Anjuman Falah e Shaban-ul-Muslameen and Hope Welfare Society" conducted a one day Seminar on " Anti Beggary".The purpose of the seminar was to create awareness among students about the curse of Beggary and how to control it.
Guest Speakers: Mudassir bin Yusuf Hijazi (Professor at Punjab University Lahore) explained beggary in the context of Islam & Miss Iffat Shaheen discussed person with disabilities involved in begging and Measures of government as well as role of social welfare department to overcome it.
