Lahore College for Women University successfully organized the Youth Conference 2026 on Pakistan’s Population Management Challenge at Iqra Auditorium under the CM Punjab’s Population Management and Family Planning Program, in collaboration with the Department of STEM Education and ORIC, LCWU.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi as Guest of Honour and reaffirmed LCWU’s commitment to contributing to national development through impactful academic initiatives.
The conference featured a series of insightful academic and awareness sessions by distinguished speakers, including Mr. Muhammad Afzal Ch., Dr. Hadia Majid, Mr. Khubaib Kiani, and Salman ur Rashid. Their sessions highlighted key perspectives on responsible youth engagement, population management, social development, and the economic dimensions of Pakistan’s population challenge.
A major highlight of the conference was the powerful one-act play “Meltay Hain Waqfay Ky Baad”, which received tremendous appreciation from the audience for its creative and thought-provoking social message.
At the conclusion of the conference, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi delivered the Vote of Thanks, appreciating the vision and initiative of the Chief Minister Punjab for launching awareness-driven programs focused on population management and public well-being. She encouraged students to become agents of positive change and play their role in the sustainable development of Punjab.
The event concluded with the exchange of shields and souvenirs among participating institutions, symbolizing mutual respect, collaboration, and the spirit of academic partnership. Students, faculty members, Lahore College for Women University continues to uphold its legacy of promoting meaningful engagement on national issues by empowering young minds through education, research, and institutional partnerships.
