Master Training Program on Mentoring and Counseling
In response to the growing need for structured psychological support in academic settings, Vice Chancellors of Lahore universities have initiated a comprehensive Master Training Program to equip educators and staff as first responders for student wellbeing.
This initiative aims to foster safer, more responsive, and student-centered learning environments while strengthening institutional capacity to address evolving mental health needs.
Dr. Mamoona Riaz as nominated member from Lahore College for Women University attended this 4-days master training program. It was jointly held at held at the Institute for Art and Culture (IAC) and Centre for Clinical Psychology (CCP), University of the Punjab. The trainers included Dr. Shabbir Ahmad Rana from IAC and Dr. Asma Yousaf & Dr. Faiza Safdar from CCP. The training focused on Foundation Building and Knowledge Enhancement on Mentoring and Applied Counseling Skills Development.
Through interactive discussions and practical insights, participants explored effective mentoring and counseling approaches while developing the knowledge and skills needed to support personal and professional growth. The training was held between 2nd July to 7th July, 2026.
