The International Conference “Contemporary Issues in Management and Administrative Sciences,” organized by the Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, emerged as a landmark academic initiative addressing the evolving dynamics of research in a rapidly changing global environment. The event brought together national and international scholars, researchers, and industry professionals on a shared platform to foster meaningful academic exchange and strengthen academia–industry linkages.
Held under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Uzma Quraishi, the conference reflected strong institutional vision and commitment to academic excellence. Dr. Adeel Nasir, Chairperson Department of Management Sciences, played a key role in shaping the academic direction of the conference by ensuring strong research focus and relevance to contemporary management challenges. Dr. Sobia Hassan, Incharge Department of Public Administration, contributed significantly by promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthening discussions on governance and policy innovation. Together, their leadership was instrumental in the successful organization and academic excellence of the event.
Distinguished speakers, including Mr. Faheem ur Rehman Siagol (Chief Guest), Professor Dr. Kashif Rathore, Professor Dr. Rana Muhammad Ayub, Dr. Shahid A. Zia, and Ms. Rehana Rajput, highlighted critical themes such as market opportunities, digital infrastructure, governance reforms, and the growing need for innovation across public and private sectors.
The conference reflected a clear shift in contemporary research paradigms, with emerging scholars increasingly aligning their work with real-world challenges. Key themes such as governance, financial technology, digital transformation, and organizational development underscored the growing importance of integrating academic rigor with practical relevance.

A specialized workshop titled “Transforming Research with Artificial Intelligence and Visual Analytics” further enriched the conference by highlighting the role of AI and data visualization in modern research practices, alongside evolving methodological and publication standards.
One of the major highlights of the event was the Entrepreneurial Gala, where students from BBA, BBA (Self-Support), B.Com, and BPA programs showcased 34 innovative business models. These projects were evaluated by industry experts including Mr. Sajjad Kermani, Mr. Qasim Mehdi, Mr. Amir Zahoor Khan, Mr. Muhammad Samee Liaquat, Mr. Adam Mohyuddin, Mr. Zeeshan Ali, Mr. Asad Ahmad, and Mr. Waqqas Khan who appreciated the creativity and practical potential of the ideas while offering valuable feedback.
Collaboration with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also acknowledged as a significant step toward strengthening academia–industry partnerships and promoting entrepreneurial development among students.
The concluding sessions, attended by eminent scholars, guests, and media representatives, emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between educational institutions and industry, for effective knowledge dissemination. The recommendations put forward stressed research-based policymaking, innovation, and enhanced academic cooperation.
