A highly insightful workshop on “Developing ORIC for University Growth” was organized at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) under the esteemed patronage and guidance of Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor, LCWU.

The workshop was held on 27 August 2026 as part of the four-day training programme on “Strategic Planning for Institutional Growth and Excellence” for HODs, Deans, and Directors.

The session featured distinguished resource persons, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Vice Chancellor, University of Sargodha, and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal, Director ORIC, University of Sargodha, who shared valuable insights and practical strategies for strengthening research, innovation, commercialization, industry linkages, and institutional growth through effective ORIC development.

The interactive session provided participants with a deeper understanding of how ORICs can serve as strategic platforms for promoting research excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer, and societal impact.

The workshop was organized by the Faculty Development Centre (FDC), Directorate of Faculty Development & Internationalisation (DFDI), LCWU, reaffirming the university’s commitment to strategic leadership, research excellence, innovation, and continuous institutional development.
