Talent Hunt Competition

On 9th March, a district-level Talent hunt competition was organized by the Punjab council of arts at open-air theatre, Bagh e Jinnah. Schools, colleges, and universities from all over Lahore were invited to attend the competition. Students participated in different categories like short story, poetry, prose, and painting, etc.
Renowned personalities attended and judged the event. Every category was provided a specific theme to work on, while short story writers were permitted to write on any theme of their choice. The whole environment was very appreciative, encouraging, and engaging. Refreshments were also provided to the attendees. This competition aimed to hunt talented individuals and put them in the spotlight. The winners of different district competitions will further compete in a provisional competition of their respective categories. Nisa Wasim from English literature department , Lahore college for women university, participated in the short story section, and got the first position. It is a matter of immense pride for English Department of LCWU. Getting recognition is what every skillful person aspires so LCWU always encourages the students to participate in such events to showcase their talent.
