Inauguration Ceremony Unveils 100th Anniversary Monument and History Museum of LCWU

30 September 2021. The Governor and Chancellor Ch Muhammad Sarwar have the pleasure to unveil LCWU Monument and History museum celebrating the Lahore College For Women University 100th Anniversary in a ceremony. At the ceremony, the Governor of Punjab also cut a 100-year-celebration cake.

The event was graced by Chief guest Chancellor of LCWU Mr. Ch Mohammad Sarwar, Governor Punjab, and incumbent Vice-Chancellor LCWU Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza. Chairman BISE Habib Ali, Chairman PHA Syed Yasir Gilani, Former Vice-Chancellor LCWU Prof. Sabiha Mansoor, VC University of Education Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, V. C Government College University Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, VC Okara University Prof. Dr. Zakaria Zakir, Chairman Lahore Board Dr. Mirza Habib, Commissioner FBR, Senior Journalist Salman Ghani, Senior Journalist Wasif Nagy, MPA Sadia Sohail, MP Special participation of A. Sameera Ahmed, MPA Azmi Kardar and Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Faculty Members were also present on the occasion. Chairperson Department of Mass Communication Prof. Dr. Anjum Zia performed the duties of stage secretary at the event.

The Governor Punjab, speaking on the occasion, congratulated Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza and all faculty members on the centennial celebrations of Lahore College For Women University. He congratulated the institute on its accomplishments and pledged to improve educational quality. While praising women's roles, he stated that Pakistan was founded in the name of Islam and that women have a special place in Islam. Women are taking on more leadership roles in educational institutions. I'm looking for advice from vice-chancellors on how to draught harassment policies in educational institutions, Governor Punjab.

Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, Lahore College For Women University's dignitary Vice-Chancellor, stated, "Lahore College For Women University has significantly improved its ranking of universities across Pakistan, and our institute's graduates have prominent positions in various fields." The goal of this history museum is to collect, preserve, interpret, and display objects of artistic, cultural, and historical significance for the education of LCWU's students and faculty. Construction on Lahore College For Women University's state-of-the-art Kala Shah Kaku New Campus will begin soon, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza.

At the ceremony, LCWU students presented a decade-long history of LCWU from 1922 to 2021. The Sirajuddin Dramatics Society (SDS) presented outstanding creative performances on Sufism and Women's Empowerment.
