Promoting Peace through language and Culture

Persian department of LCWU, under sustainable development goals (PEACE: SDG16) organised 3 sessions (held on 30th March &31st March )on the topic of “Promoting Peace through language and Culture”. On 30th March 2022  two parallel sessions were organised and more then 60 papers were presented in these sessions. In  one session students and the faculty members presented  their articles on the  above mentioned topic  whereas  the other session was organised online for participation of the Scholors from 6 countries including Pakistan. In  this online  session  Prof. Dr. Sheikhzadeh Vice Chancellor University of Bojnurd –Iran, Mizanur Rehman Ph.D Rsearch Fellow University of Rajshahi – Bangladesh , Prof.Dr Saleem Mazhar Pro Vice Chancellor University of Punjab/VC University of Sargodha,  MS Ayesha Siddiqua CoD Graphic Design, IDVA & Ms.Nida Ijaz lecture Graphic Design, LCWU , Ms. Pernekulova Meruyert Senior Lecturer Oriental studies faculty Middle East and South Asia Department Al-Farabi Kazakh National University-Kazakhstan, Dr.Aygun Alizadeh The institute of oriental studies- Azarbijan , Prof. Dr.Nimat Yaldirim, Turkey, presented their valuable articles. Concluding session was organised on 31st March which included speeches of various personalities from different religions such as Mulana Khabeer Azad (Khateeb Badshahi Mosque Lahore & Chairman Markazi Royat e Halal Comittee), Mr.Ramesh Singh Arora (MPA Punjab Assembly) , Mr. Ihsan H. Nadeem (Director Dyal Singh Research & Cultural forum ,LHR), Dr. Father James Channon (Director Pace Center, LHR) ,  Dr. Manor Chand (Director Balmick Temple, LHR,former secretary information).The speakers were of the view that by giving respect to each other’s views  Peace can be promoted in the society. They  also emphasized the fact that women can play a key role by educating the generations and families and without PEACE SUSTAINABLE GOALS CANNOT BE ACHIEVED.  In the end soveniers were presented to the honorable guess and certificate of appreciation were presented to the paper presenters.
