Her journey began as a student at Lahore College for Women in 1965, where her exceptional academic prowess and active participation in extracurricular activities set her apart.

From her pioneering achievements in economics to her leadership roles in various colleges and universities, Mrs. Saleem's impact has been profound. Her expertise extends beyond academia, as she has also been involved in addressing pressing global issues such as poverty alleviation and climate change. Recently, Ms. Asma Zafar had the opportunity to collaborate with Mrs. Shahida Saleem, recording a podcast where she shared her wealth of experiences, her profound love for her alma mater, and her insights on education and societal challenges.
