On December 17, 2024, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) vibrantly celebrated Christmas Day in a spirit of inclusivity and festive cheer. The event, conducted under the directives of the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, and hosted by the Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Sumera Sajjad, witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and staff across various departments. The celebration began with the recitation from the Holy Bible, followed by the singing of a traditional Christmas carol, setting a warm and spiritual tone for the occasion. The highlight of the event was the address by the Vice Chancellor, who emphasized the importance of harmony, respect for all faiths, and the spirit of togetherness. A cake-cutting ceremony was then held in the presence of all Christian staff and faculty members, creating a moment of joy and celebration. Adding a delightful touch to the event, council students dressed as Santa Claus roamed the venue, cheerfully distributing sweets to the audience and children, spreading happiness and embodying the festive spirit. The event was a beautiful reflection of LCWU’s commitment to diversity, unity, and mutual respect within its academic community.
