The Department of Social Work, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, organized a seminar titled "Social Entrepreneurship" on 23rd April 2025, in collaboration with the Pakistan Youth Parliament. Speakers included Mr. Muhammad Abu Bakar (President, Pakistan Youth Parliament), who emphasized the importance of youth-led initiatives in driving social change, followed by Dr. Tahira Jabeen ( Director: Centre for Social Development & Social Entrepreneurship, University of the Punjab, Lahore), who discussed academic perspectives and strategies for sustainable social enterprises, and Madam Jahan Ara Watto (Vice Chairperson of Punjab Social Protection Authority, also a Politician & Social Worker), who highlighted the role of women and political will in promoting social entrepreneurship. The seminar was attended by a large number of students and faculty members, encouraging innovative thinking and community engagement among the youth.
