On 17th December, the Directorate of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Punjab Safe City Authority, organized a briefing session on various safety initiatives launched by Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz, focusing on the protection of women and children, along with the introduction of a Virtual Blood Bank. The respective focal persons delivered detailed briefings on different domains, explaining their functionality and how students can benefit from these initiatives. The session also highlighted the installation of panic buttons in educational institutions for students who do not have access to mobile phones, ensuring immediate assistance in emergency situations. The Vice Chancellor visited the session and addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of safety awareness and the effective use of these initiatives. Additionally, the Coordinator Security Cell, Dr. Saqib Rehman, addressed the students and stressed the significance of utilizing these safety measures for personal and collective security. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, followed by a group photograph at the end of the event.
