Lahore, May 16, 2025 — A 12-member delegation from Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has departed for Doha, Qatar, to participate in a specialized international hockey training camp. The initiative is being led under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi, Vice Chancellor of LCWU, and aims to strengthen global collaboration in sports and promote excellence in women’s athletics.
The training camp is being conducted by Hamad Saeed Al-Sohauti, Director and Head of Development and Coaching in Qatar. Representing LCWU are Dr. Sumera Sattar, Director of Sports, and Mr. Anees, who will serve as the fitness and coordination coach for the duration of the program.

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly those addressing gender equality, quality education, good health and well-being, and global partnerships—this program not only fosters athletic growth but also contributes to women empowerment. By offering students international exposure, the initiative helps cultivate confidence, leadership, and intercultural understanding.
LCWU continues to champion the integration of academic excellence with extracurricular opportunities, creating inclusive spaces for women to thrive.
