LCWU Promotes International Research Collaboration through PERIDOT Grant Training

Lahore, July 29, 2025 – Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) successfully organized a comprehensive training session titled “Franco-Pakistan Research Collaboration: Navigating the PERIDOT Grant” in collaboration with SZABIST Karachi.

The session was conducted by Dr. Nausheen Mazhar, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of Geography, and Head of the International Resource Center, Directorate of Faculty Development and Internationalization (DFDI), LCWU. Dr. Mazhar is a renowned scholar in the field of Geography and a recipient of the prestigious PERIDOT Grant, making her an invaluable resource for this session.

The training provided participants with significant insights into international research opportunities, grant writing strategies, and best practices for trans boundary collaborations. 

A significant number of faculty members from both LCWU and SZABIST actively participated in the session in person and virtually, reflecting strong academic engagement and commitment to research excellence. 

Director IT and IT team LCWU, ensured seamless virtual connectivity and comprehensive technical support through the dedicated efforts of the Information Technology Centre.Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, reiterated the University’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and promoting a research-driven culture, aligning with LCWU’s vision for academic and professional growth at an international level.
