On August 27, 2025, Wednesday, in connection with the Ashra Rahmatulilalameen, the Urdu Department of Lahore College for Women University organized an Urdu speech competition, in which students showed great enthusiasm and zeal. Syeda Hadisa Fatima, a 7th-semester student, secured the first position, Arzish Saqib, a 4th-semester student, secured the second position, and adun fatima, a 3rd-semester student, secured the third position.

Professor Dr. Syeda Faleha Zehra Kazmi, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning, highlighted various aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and appreciated the efforts of the Urdu Department.

She thanked the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi for her leadership and all her support for the arrangements of such events. In the end, Dr. Rehana Kausar, Head of the Urdu Department, expressed her thoughts about the event and extended special thanks to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Uzma Qureshi, for organizing the Ashra Rahmatulilalameen programs with such devotion and respect, which is commendable and worthy of emulation. She also extended special thanks to Professor Dr. Faleha Kazmi, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Learning, for gracing the program with her presence, thanked other esteemed guests, and encouraged the students.
