LCWU Planning Meeting with SUPARCO–RESOLVE Team for SPACE CAMP 2025

September 1, 2025: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), under the patronage of its Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, held a significant planning meeting with the SUPARCO–RESOLVE team to discuss the organization of the upcoming SPACE CAMP 2025 and to explore potential avenues of future collaboration in the fields of aerospace, STEM education, and research innovation. The meeting took place in ORIC, LCWU.

The distinguished guests from SUPARCO included Dr. Muhammad Waseem (Director, RESOLVE), Mr. Ahsan Rafique (Deputy Director, RESOLVE), and Ms. Syeda Zahra Kazmi (Manager, SEAD). Representing LCWU, the participants included Prof. Dr. Faiza (Director ORIC), Dr. Sadia Murawwat (Chairperson, Department of Electrical Engineering), Mr. Sajjad Rabbani (Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering), Dr. Faiza Iftikhar (Senior Manager, Industrial Linkages & Technology Transfer, ORIC), Dr. Moneeba Iftikhar (Senior Manager, Communication & Publications, ORIC), Dr. Nudra Malik (Senior Manager, Research, ORIC), and Ms. Saima Gulzar (Research Officer, ORIC).

The discussions primarily revolved around logistical support for SPACE CAMP 2025, scheduled to be held at LCWU from 16–18 September 2025, marking the first-ever SPACE CAMP in the history of LCWU. The initiative aims to provide young women with hands-on exposure to satellite design, development, integration, telemetry operations, and data analysis, while simultaneously inspiring them to pursue careers in aerospace and STEM-related fields.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both LCWU and SUPARCO reaffirming their commitment to strengthening academic–industry linkages and contributing jointly to Pakistan’s advancements in space science and technology, while empowering the next generation of female scientists and innovators.
