Annual Mehfil-e-Naat Organized by the Department of Islamic Studies and Arabic Department, Lahore College for Women University
The Department of Islamic Studies and Arabic Department of Lahore College for Women University organized it’s Annual Mehfil-e-Naat in connection with Ashra Rehmat-ul-lil-Alamin. The event took place on Friday, 5th September 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Iqra Auditorium of the university.
The Mehfil was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Uzma Qureshi, Vice Chancellor, and was supervised by Dr. Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Dean Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the recitation of Naats in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Faculty members and students participated enthusiastically, presenting heartfelt Naats that reflected their love and devotion.
The auditorium was beautifully arranged, and the dress code of White and Purple created a graceful and serene atmosphere. Poetry verses displayed in Arabic on the stage further enhanced the spiritual environment of the gathering.
The Mehfil provided students with an opportunity to express their reverence for the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and to strengthen their connection with Islamic values. It was a source of spiritual enrichment and collective inspiration for all attendees.
The event concluded with a heartfelt dua by Dr. Afifa Khanum, in which she prayed for the prosperity of the university, the success of its faculty and students, the unity, peace, and well-being of the entire Muslim Ummah, as well as special prayers for the flood-affected people and for the martyrs of Pak forces who sacrificed their lives with courage and devotion.
