Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) proudly commemorated Defence Day with a spirit of patriotism and respect for our national heroes. The event was marked by vibrant speeches, national songs, by Musical Society of LCWU and heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the defense of our beloved homeland. All invited guests were the successful Alumni of LCWU. Mrs Shahida Sultan, Dr Tasneem Zafar (CSA) and Prof. Dr Salma Hassan (GCU) spoke about the significance of the day and paid tribute to heroes of the 1965 War with India. They also mentioned and expressed their appreciation of the armed forces of the country. Prof. Dr Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor LCWU, while speaking on the occasion extended her gratitude to the Pak army and their patriotism.
Honorable faculty, students, and distinguished guests attended the ceremony, reflecting on the sacrifices of our armed forces and reaffirming the resolve to serve Pakistan with dedication.
