Orientation Ceremony for Intermediate Batch 2025 Held at LCWU

Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) held a warm and welcoming Orientation Session for the Intermediate Batch of 2025 on 9th September 2025 at the Iqra Auditorium. The session was organized to guide new students as they embarked on their academic journey at LCWU.

Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, the Honorable Vice Chancellor, inspired the students by emphasizing the importance of discipline, hard work, and active participation in both academic and extracurricular activities. She highlighted LCWU’s initiatives in fostering creativity and advancements in AI-related fields, while also reiterating the university’s firm zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and drug abuse. The students were also informed about college magazine, student societies, safety and security measures, uniform, discipline policy, sports, AI certification, Scholarship policies and extra curriculum activities.
Dr. Quraishi reassured the students that LCWU not only has well-defined policies but also effective and efficient mechanisms in place to support them. She encouraged students to feel confident and secure, reminding them that the LCWU family is always there to safeguard their best interests. Concluding her address, she stressed the significance of good citizenship and the universal values of peace, integrity, and the pursuit of the common good.
Dr. Aisha Sadiqa, Head of the Intermediate Section, extended her welcome to the students and provided a comprehensive overview of the university's facilities, rules, and academic expectations.
Prof. Dr. Neelma Munir, Convenor of the Self-Support Intermediate Program, warmly welcomed the new batch and assured them that the faculty and administration are committed to working diligently to help students realize their dreams.
Dr. Ghazala Noureen, Chief Proctor, introduced the role of the Proctorial Office and how it supports students throughout their time at LCWU. She emphasized the ongoing Cleanliness Drive across campus and urged students to "keep your institution clean like your home."
In addition to these key addresses, Director DSA and esteemed faculty members were also present at the session to show their support and encouragement for the incoming class.
The orientation concluded with a sense of enthusiasm and motivation, setting a strong foundation for the academic year ahead.
